Lead with love. This is my advice to you. It's not always easy to see the good in the bad, but it's there. And all it takes is a little adjustment to your mindset to see blessings in disguise.
Thus, where is the love in quarter 1? Especially when you read this stat (courtesy of MFS and Bespoke):
RAPID DROPS. The S&P 500 fell
10%+ from an all-time high in less
than four weeks for just the seventh
time since 1952 and the first time since
the COVID Crash in February/March
2020. In all but one of the six prior rapid
market corrections, the S&P 500 made
a new all-time high at some point in the
next year. (Source: Bespoke)
Well, we love volatility. We know that clients do not find it comforting. But based on experience, these are the times that keep us busy with our Asset Management process and offer good long term buying opportunities. This quarter has kept us busy and when you see the actual performance of the main indices here, you wonder how can money be made in a quarter like this?

Buy lower, sell higher. This is the love we have had for quarter 1. The activity you have witnessed is intended to be beneficial to your plan and overall portfolio in the long run. If you find the talk of the tariffs troubling and creating doubt, we have found a good resource that demonstrates how tariffs do not cause the problems that are being 'sold' by the media. The short term impact often leads to long term benefits. Contact us for more information or download your kit from First Trust about Tariffs here: Tariffs.
We manage a good amount of assets and work hard to keep client portfolios allocated properly with diversification and goal mapping. I can tell you that as of today (March 27, 2025) we have seen an increase in overall assets due to the market this year to date. (verify your personal experience by contacting our team). This helps us continue to love volatility and love working with you to see it how we see it! Hang in there and share the love in 2025!
